Chandigarh: People hold protest in Sector 18 Church against Manipur violence

Chandigarh, July 31

Condemning the Manipur violence, the people held a peaceful protest in Sector 18 Church, Chandigarh on Sunday.

Led by Pastor Rajeev Masih, hundreds of young men, women, and girls gathered and expressed their protest against the shameful incident in Manipur where daughters of India were humiliated.

The protestors appealed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give severe punishment to the prepetarors.

“We request all the countrymen to stay together and come forward for the justice of Manipur. It is not a matter of religion, but we should protest against it,” he said.

Secretary Stephen Masih and other local people took part in this demonstration and strongly condemned the violence.
