Chandigarh Market mishap: One died, two injured

One person died while two are still undergoing their treatment at a hospital after the roof of two adjoining booths collapsed in Sector 33D market here.

The rescue operation was performed for almost two hours but no one was found trapped inside the debris.Chandigarh SSP Kanwardeep Kaur along with other officials of the administration visited the spot but everyone refused to comment on this incident.

At around 5 p.m., the roof of two adjoining booths collapsed. With the help of bystanders, police, and shopkeepers, the injured were shifted to the hospital where one person succumbed to his injuries.

Notably, the renovation work was being done at the booths as a cafe was to be built here.
