Chandigarh: Election for Mayor MC likely to be postponed today

Chandigarh, January 18

Election for the post of Mayor, Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation is likely to be postponed today January 18, 2024 becasue Presiding officer who was to conduct election has fallen ill and is admitted in hospital.

Meanwhile Former Minister and Congress leader Pawan Bansal and MP Raghav Chadha have strongly condemned BJP for using dirty tricks and have announced to approach High Court in the matter.

Insterestingly AAP and Congress Municipal Councillors were protesting outside Municipal Corporation as they were not allowed to go inside but BJP Councillors were absent from the scene.
