Campaign for lastic Free India by NCC: Cadets display their creative talents

339 Cadets of NCC Army Wing of Chandigarh organized an awareness activities on “Plastic Free India, Bad effects of Plastic and “Plastic ban for Future”. Cadets of KV OCF Sec. 29 , KV 3 BRD , Stepping Stone Sec. 37, Shishu Niketan Sec 22, Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary School Sec 27 Chandigarh participated in the event.

The main aim of this activity was to spread awareness among people to recognize the urgency of the situation.

Colonel Paramjeet commanding officer of 2 Chandigarh NCC Battalion said that India is known for its rich cultural heritage and diverse landscapes.

“Over the years, the extensive use of plastic has taken a toll on our environment, affecting our ecosystem, wildlife, and even on human health. Now, India is taking bold steps towards a plastic-free future, aiming to eliminate the detrimental effects of plastic and to pave the way for a sustainable nation,” he said.

Commanding officer opined that India has implemented a series of ini-tiatives to ban and reduce like: plastic usage by imposing some key measures on Single-Use Plastic, Plastic Waste Management Rules, Innovation Research.

The cadets created numerous slogans, quotes & paintings to reveal the bad effects of plastic Environmental Pollution, Health Hazards, and Waste Management Challenges. Associate NCC Officers Sanjay Kumar, Prince , Manoj kalia and Poonam RANA were also present on the occasion.
