Chandigarh, May 9
Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan and potential security threats, the Chandigarh Administration has directed all shops selling non-essential items, such as clothing, eating joints, hotels, restaurants, and malls, to close starting at 7 pm.
According to Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav, the order is in effect for Friday only, and shops can resume their usual operations in the morning.
