Chandigarh, June 3
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has denied bail to former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s advisor Bharat Inder Singh Chahal in relation disproportionate assets case.
Further, the Punjab Vigilance Bureau has been instructed to complete its investigation and submit its report to court.
High Court Justice Rajmohan Singh has directed Bharat Inder Chahal to appear before the Vigilance Bureau and submit whatever records he has before the Vigilance Bureau.
Appearing on Chahal’s behalf before Justice Raj Mohan Singh’s Bench, senior advocate RS Cheema with counsel KS Nalwa, Yajur Sharma and Hakikat Grewal referred to several cases registered in the past before submitting that the petitioner was victimised on a number of occasions.
