Indian stock market saw massive fall on Friday’s final trading session, costing investors over ₹1 lakh crore. Middle East tensions crushed sentiment—BSE Sensex plunged 1,097 points (1.37%) to close at 78,918.90. NSE Nifty shed 315.45 points (1.27%) at 24,450.45.
BSE companies’ total market cap fell from over ₹453 lakh crore to ₹452 lakh crore. Banking stocks hammered hardest—Nifty Bank down 2.15% at 57,783.25.
Heavy selling in Realty, PSU Bank, Services, Auto, Consumer, Infra, Media. Defense, Energy, PSE, IT showed some recovery. Midcap/Smallcap less hit but still red.
