Sensation in Jalandhar: AAP Leader Lucky Oberai Gunned Down in Broad Daylight; 15-16 Bullets Fired Outside Gurdwara

In a shocking blow to law and order, brazen attackers assassinated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Lucky Oberai in broad daylight this morning outside a gurdwara in Jalandhar’s posh Model Town area.

Attack Details

Lucky Oberai was traveling in his Thar vehicle when assailants targeted him. The attackers fired around 15-16 rounds indiscriminately, with bullets piercing the car’s windows and striking his body. He was rushed to a private hospital in critical condition but succumbed to injuries en route. Relative Kuldeep Oberai confirmed his death.

Panic and Police Response

The gunfire triggered panic across Model Town, with nearby shopkeepers hastily shutting their shutters in fear. Police recovered empty bullet casings from the scene, while forensic teams collect evidence. CCTV footage from the area is being scanned to identify the perpetrators. Heavy police deployment and citywide checkpoints have been activated.

Suspected Motive: Old Enmity or Political Rivalry

Lucky Oberai was considered a close aide to AAP’s Jalandhar Cantonment in-charge Rajvinder Kaur Thiyara. Family and police suspect personal enmity or political rivalry behind the murder. AAP workers are outraged, demanding swift arrests of the culprits.
