Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann announced major welfare scheme ‘Meri Rasoi’ today for poor/needy families. Punjab as nation’s food bowl ensures no family lacks nutritious food—beyond just wheat, govt now provides free tempering essentials.

‘Meri Rasoi’ Food Kit Contents

Blue card holders get wheat plus special kit:

• Pulses: 2 kg moth-chana dal.

• Sugar: 2 kg sugar.

• Oil: 1 litre pure mustard oil.

• Salt: 1 kg iodized salt.

• Turmeric: 200 gm turmeric powder.

40 Lakh Families Benefit

Scheme reaches ~40 lakh blue card families. CM emphasized strengthening poor kitchens economically, promising high-quality items with strict action against substandard supplies.
