Israeli Airstrike in Lebanon Kills 8 Hezbollah Commanders, Total 10 Dead

Israeli forces struck a major blow to Hezbollah with overnight airstrikes in eastern Lebanon’s Baalbek region near Rayak village, killing 8 terrorists including top commanders. Lebanon’s Health Ministry reports 10 total deaths, 24 wounded.​

Strike Details

Target: 3-story building housing Hezbollah’s missile unit command bases. Confirmed dead: Local commanders Ali al-Moussawi, Muhammad al-Moussawi, Hussein Yaqi (son of founder Muhammad Yaqi). IDF claims they plotted major attacks, ramped up military prep.​

Casualties & Response

Victims include Syrian citizen, Ethiopian woman; wounded: 3 children, several foreigners. Despite ceasefire, Israel hits Hezbollah sites pre-emptively. Hezbollah vows retaliation amid fragile truce since Nov 2024.​
