Horror in Canada: Karnataka Software Engineer Gunned Down in Broad Daylight, Car Riddled with Bullets

A tragic incident unfolded in Toronto where 37-year-old Indian software engineer Chandan Kumar Raja Nandakumar from Karnataka was brutally murdered in broad daylight. The killing has created an atmosphere of fear and grief within Canada’s Indian community.
Time & Location: Saturday afternoon around 3:30 PM at Woodbine Shopping Centre parking lot.
Attack: Chandan was sitting in his white car when assailants fired indiscriminately. Viral social media images show the car riddled with bullets through windows and body.
Police Response: Toronto Police classified it as a ‘targeted attack’. Chandan was rushed to hospital but succumbed to critical injuries.
Background: Originally from Thiamagondalu village near Nelamangala, Karnataka.
Career: Worked at prestigious IT firm LTI Mindtree for past 6 years in Canada.
Family Tragedy: Only son of his parents. Father Nandakumar revealed Chandan was due to visit India this summer; family was preparing for his wedding.
Family suspects Chandan’s active role in establishing a Kannada Association in Toronto may be linked to the murder. Canadian police haven’t made arrests or revealed motive yet.
