Aykai Academic Research Trust, Aykai Hospital, and Glodas are set to organize a Motorcycle Rally to raise awareness about prostate and kidney cancers and Organ Donation on 09.02.2025,Sunday.The rally will be flagged off Punjab Agriculture university and will conclude at Aykai Hospital,Ludhiana.
The event will be graced by the key dignitaries of the city including Deputy Commissioner of Ludhiana ,Vice chancellor of PAU ,Vice chancellor of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University and the Chief Administrator of Glada .
Dr Baldev Singh Aulakh Chief Urologist and Transplant surgeon ,Chairman Aykai Hospital emphasised that everyone must be aware that One brain-dead patient can save up to eight lives, yet many patients die waiting for organ transplants due to lack of knowledge.Additionally, prostate and kidney cancers, once common in individuals over 50, are now increasingly affecting younger generations. Early detection, especially for those with a family history of cancer, is crucial.
This rally will be followed by Free cancer screening camp on February 15,2025.This camp will offer evaluation of patients with the following:
l Females with breast lumps and nipple discharge
l Blood in urine
l Blood in stools
l Irregular menses
He further added ,around 200 Bikers from across the town and neighbouring cities are expected to participate for this cause.
The rally will be recieved by DIG of Ludhiana Respected Dhanpreet Kaur at Aykai hospital. The participants will be awarded and felicitation ceremony will be done.
