Aykai Academic Research Trust organized awareness rally for organ donation and prostate & kidney cancer awareness

Aykai Academic & Reaserch Trust took a significant step towards public health awareness by organizing a motorcycle rally to promote organ donation and spread awareness about prostate and kidney cancers The event was attended by the key dignitaries of the city Vice Chancellor of PAU Dr S S Gosal, Vice Chancellor of GADVASU Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh, Charanjit Singh Aulakh Dean,PAU & Nirmal Singh Jaura, Director Student Welfare, PAU Dr. Bhullar Director Extension PAU. The rally was flagged off by all from PAU Ludhiana and was received at Aykai Hospital.

VC PAU Dr.Gosal said it was truly inspiring to see many passionate individuals gathered , united by a cause that has the power to save and transform lives.This bike rally is not just about riding its about raising awareness , spreading hope and making a difference in the lives of those battling prostate and kidney cancer as well as those in need of life saving organ transplants.

VC GADVASU Dr.Jatinder said Organ donation is one of the greatest gifts one human can give to another. It is an act of selflessness a way to ensure that even in passing , we continue to give life along with it, prostate and kidney cancer are silent battles that many face . Early detection, timely treatment and awareness are key to fighting these diseases .

Charanjit Singh Dean & Dr.Nirmal Singh Jaura PAU said our presence here is a statement that says we stand in solidarity with those affected , we support ongoing research , and we will continue to spread knowledge about prevention and early diagnosis of Cancers.

Dr Baldev Singh Aulakh Chief Urologist & transplant Surgeon Chairman Aykai highlighted the importance of organ donation, emphasizing that all must know that one person can save up to eight lives.Dr Aulakh also raised concern over the rising cases of prostate and kidney cancers among younger individuals,which was earlier common in the generation above 50 stressing the need for early detection and timely medical intervention to prevent complications.

Every turn of our wheels today symbolizes progress. Every mile we ride is a step toward greater awareness. And every voice raised is support of this cause can save a life.

The event witnessed participation from over 200 bikers who came from Ludhiana and neighboring cities to support this noble cause. The bikers were honored by Mukti Gill, Director, Khalsa College for Women who expressed her pride in being part of this meaningful initiative. She commended the bikers for their enthusiasm and commitment to spreading .

Aykai Hospital reaffirmed its dedication to providing world-class treatment to the community and ensuring access to the latest medical techniques. The rally aimed not just to inform but also to encourage individuals to fill organ donor cards, ensuring more lives could be saved through organ donation.

As a continued effort towards cancer awareness and prevention, Aykai Hospital has announced a Free Cancer Camp on February 15, 2025, where early detection services will be offered free of cost. Investigations worth ₹10,000 will be provided free, and patients requiring surgical procedures for cancer treatment will receive a 30% discount. This initiative aligns with Aykai’s mission to make quality healthcare accessible and affordable to all.
