In a significant development, Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj, today issued directives following a meeting of the five Singh Sahibans at Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
The Acting Jathedar has instructed the administrators of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) to immediately submit a report on the action taken against an employee, Balbir Singh, who has been accused of misbehaving with a woman.
The matter has drawn serious concern, and the Akal Takht has taken note of the delay in disciplinary action.
In a parallel decision, the services of Baldev Singh and Gurdial Singh, two leaders associated with Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib, Patna Sahib, have been suspended.The suspensions come in the wake of internal concerns regarding their conduct and administrative responsibilities.
The directives underscore Akal Takht’s emphasis on accountability and maintaining high moral standards in religious and administrative affairs.
