A brazen daylight shooting in the Bagha Purana town of Moga district has left the current Sarpanch of Dohard village, popularly known as Happy, fighting for his life. The targeted attack occurred earlier today when a group of unidentified assailants arrived in a Toyota Fortuner and opened fire on the village head before speeding away from the scene.

According to preliminary reports, the incident is suspected to be the result of a long-standing personal enmity. The attackers reportedly ambushed Sarpanch Happy and fired multiple rounds, leaving him bleeding profusely on the spot. Local bystanders and associates immediately rushed the critically injured leader to the Civil Hospital, where a team of doctors is currently providing emergency medical intervention.
