Gurdaspur Daylight Heist Horror: Nihang-Disguised Robbers Loot Jeweller’s Home of ₹7 Crore

Panic gripped border district Gurdaspur this morning after armed gang in Nihang Sikh garb raided prominent jeweller’s Scheme No. 5 residence, fleeing with ₹7 crore loot. CCTV DVR also taken to erase evidence.

Daring Daytime Raid

8 AM Attack: Five armed men posing as Nihangs distracted driver Sarbjeet Singh outside, then stormed Varun Mahajan’s Jail Road home. Neha Mahajan pistol-whipped at gunpoint.

Terror Tactics: Claimed family insulted “gurus” online. Locked jeweller, wife, sons Krish/Shikhar in separate rooms; death threats silenced screams while looting gold, cash, jewellery.

Meticulous Execution

Robbers seized all keys, rifled valuables, escaped in family car. DSP Tarjinder Singh rushed with heavy force; family statements recorded.

Police scour nearby CCTV for gang trails. Vow swift arrests.
