A horrific incident unfolded in Gurugram’s Ransika village, where a groom shot dead an electricity contractor during an engagement over a trivial dispute. The murder stemmed from LED lights malfunctioning amid the ceremony, enraging the groom.

Tent house owner Vikas revealed he handled lighting for Aman Deep (son of Ramanand) from Ransika. Victim Barkat (23, from Mathura UP, father of three) worked with Mustafa and Yusuf. Around 9:30 PM Thursday during rituals, an LED light failed, infuriating groom Aman Deep. He argued abusively with the electricians alongside friends Sahil and Harsh.

Per complaint by victim’s father-in-law Hashim, the group returned armed. Barkat and colleagues fled into the tent, but gunmen fired blindly. Barkat took three bullets, collapsing in blood as chaos erupted. Rushed to hospital, he was declared dead from excessive bleeding; postmortem confirmed.
