JBIC, Aisan Industry among companies keen to invest in Punjab

Chandigarh, December 4: Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, delivered keynote address at the roadshow in Tokyo to promote investment opportunities in Punjab. Ambassador H.E. Ms. Nagma M Mallick, made inaugural remarks at the event.
Sanjeev Arora, Industries & Commerce MinIster of Punjab and Takashi Suzuki, Chief Director General, JETRO India, spoke on the opportunities for Japanese businesses in various sectors in Punjab.
A series of highly productive meetings in Japan led by Hon’ble Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Mann alongside Hon’ble Industry Minister Sh. Sanjeev Arora.
Delegations from JBIC, Aisan Industry, Yamaha, Honda Motor, JICA (South Asia Department), Toray Industries, METI (Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade & Industry) and Fujitsu Ltd. engaged in detailed discussions on investment opportunities in Punjab.
Invest Punjab team presented the state’s strong industrial ecosystem, skilled workforce, supportive policies and seamless single-window services; extending a formal invitation to these global companies to invest in Punjab. Sources said that Japan-Punjab investment is on the cards and may happen soon which will bring good news for the state and its business community, and the youth vying for jobs..
