Rotary Club of Gobindgarh Gets Charter; Dr Sandeep Singh become new Charter President
District Governor Rtn. Bhupesh Mehta Presides Over Ceremony at Desh Bhagat University
Mandi Gobindgarh, 2 December: Rotary District 3090 added another feather to its cap with the formal Charter Presentation Ceremony of the Rotary Club of Gobindgarh at Desh Bhagat University. The ceremony was presided over by District Governor Rtn. Bhupesh Mehta, who formally presented the Charter to the newly established club.
The occasion was graced by the distinguished personalities of Desh Bhagat University, including Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Dr. Sandeep Singh, President and Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor. Their commanding presence added immense inspiration and value to the ceremony.
The inaugural welcome of all dignitaries was followed by the National Anthem. District Governor Rtn. Bhupesh Mehta was then formally welcomed and felicitated for his exemplary leadership and invaluable contributions to Rotary District 3090. DG Rtn. Mehta talked to the august gathering about Rotary’s mission: to promote humanitarian service, ethical leadership, and community development. He congratulated the Rotary Club of Gobindgarh and encouraged the newly formed team to undertake impactful initiatives that would benefit the region.
The ceremony also marked the formal installation of office-bearers and board members for the year 2025–26. The newly installed President presented Vision 2025–26, an all-encompassing blueprint focused on education, youth empowerment, healthcare services, environmental sustainability, and community welfare.
DG Rtn. Mehta further inducted new members through the Rotary Pledge and Pinning Ceremony, officially integrating them into the global Rotary fraternity.
Senior Rotarians and university dignitaries addressed the gathering, sharing insights and congratulating the newly formed club.District Governor Rtn. Bhupesh Mehta and Rtn. Madhu Mehta appreciated the club’s vision and community spirit.Dr. Sandeep Singh, Charter Presiden, Ms. Gagan Sassan Charter Secretary. Dr. Dinesh Gupta highlighted the club’s mission and future goals.Treasurer Rtn. Amit Kukreja and Rtn. Pooja Kathuria praised the leadership and passion driving the new initiative.The camp ended with a hearty Vote of Thanks and a Fellowship session to represent unity, service, and new life. Rotary Club, Gobindgarh was very grateful to Desh Bhagat University for its wholehearted support in hosting this esteemed function. Following the ceremony, a Tree Plantation Drive was conducted to promote environmental responsibility. A Medical Camp at the Desh Bhagat Ayurveda Hospital was also organized, offering health services to the community.
