Free OPD inaugurated by Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal Ji

Ludhiana, November 15: To commemorate the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Aykai Hospital, Ludhiana, inaugurated a Free Sunday OPD under the theme “Gurdayan Di Sambhal, Aykai De Naal.”a virtous initiative aimed at extending healthcare services to the community in the spirit of Seva and Sarbat da Bhala.
The event commenced with a soulful shabad and kirtan by Ravinder Rangowal & Sukhi Brar noted singer, lyricist, and director, which filled the atmosphere with devotion.
Then the special free Sunday OPDs were inaugurated by the eminent guests Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal Ji, Padma Shri Awardee and Member of Parliament, Baba Dhanna Singh Ji, Nanaksar Barundi Samprada ,Baba Anhad Raj Singh, Chairman, Baba Jaswant Singh Group of Institutes & Trust, S. Ranjodh Singh, Educationist and Philanthropist.
Dr. Baldev Singh Aulakh, Chief Urologist, Transplant Surgeon, and Chairman of Aykai Hospital, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and introduced the programme. Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Dr. Aulakh shared that the Special Free Sunday OPDs will primarily focus on Nephrology, Urology, and Kidney Transplant services. He added that separate Sundays will be designated for other departments, including Obstetrics & Gynecology, Neurology & Spine, and Orthopedics & Joint Replacement, to address specific medical needs.
The Nephrology, Urology, and Kidney OPD will be held every Sunday to treat patients suffering from bladder cancer, prostate cancer, kidney cancer, kidney failure, kidney stones, blood in urine, burning urination, intermittent urine passage, absence of urine output, and swelling of the body. The aim is to make expert medical care accessible to people who may not be able to visit during regular working days, especially those from economically weaker sections.
S. Ranjodh Singh, Educationist and Philanthropist, congratulated Aykai Hospital for this compassionate initiative dedicated to community welfare and emphasised that people from all sections of society will benefit from it.
Baba Anhad Raj Singh, Chairman, Baba Jaswant Singh Group of Institutes & Trust, lauded the hospital’s efforts in serving the public and promoting health equity. He expressed gratitude for being part of the event and extended his full support to the cause.
Baba Dhanna Singh Ji, Nanaksar Barundi Samprada, expressed his happiness, saying, “Being associated with Aykai for a long time, I feel proud that the hospital always comes forward to provide excellent treatment to patients.” He added that he felt grateful to be part of this righteous effort dedicated to patient welfare, and noted that the government has also launched several health services on this pious occasion.

He added that manukhta di sewa sab ton waddi sewa, and appreciated how the hospital was taking forward the teachings of Baba Ji through holistic care.
The programme concluded with the honouring of dignitaries and a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Karam Vir Goyal, Senior Consultant, Department of Medicine, Aykai Hospital, Ludhiana.
