Anti-Ragging Programme Conducted in Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital
Mandi Gobindgarh, 30 October: Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh, conducted an Anti-Ragging Programme to sensitize students about the need to ensure a safe and respectful campus life.
The occasion was honored by the presence of Dr. Sunil Malhan, Professor and Head Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital, and a Member of Dental Council of India.
The programme was started with a welcome and felicitation of the guest by Dr. Vikram Bali, Principal, Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital. In his speech, Dr. Bali welcomed all the students and expressed his thoughts on the anti-ragging efforts of the institute and the working of the Anti-Ragging Committee.
This was preceded by an eye-opening lecture given by Dr. Sunil Malhan, who discussed at length the theory of ragging, its negative consequences, and the legal as well as moral implications involved in it. He urged students to develop a culture of respect for each other and to actively discourage ragging on the campus.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Vikram Bali, who thanked the guest for coming and praised the efforts of the organizing committee in conducting the awareness programme successfully.
The programme was extremely informative and reaffirmed the institution’s resolve to provide a ragging-free, student-friendly atmosphere.
