Desh Bhagat University organises grand felicitation ceremony to commemorate Teachers’ Day 2025

Mandi Gobindgarh, September 25: Desh Bhagat University celebrated to mark Teachers’ Day 2025 with great zeal and enthusiasm by organizing a grand felicitation ceremony on campus. The event was dedicated to honoring the invaluable contributions of the faculty and staff members who have played a pivotal role in the growth, excellence, and holistic development of the university.
The ceremony was graced by the Hon’ble Chancellor, Dr. Zora Singh, who presided as the Chief Guest, along with Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academics), Prof. Amarjit Singh. Adding further prestige to the occasion, Dr Janak Raj Sachdeva, Professor & Head (Retd.), Department of Medicine, Govt. Medical College Patiala, and Sr. Advocate Sardar Hardev Singh joined as Special Guests of Honour.
During the ceremony, the university presented awards and tokens of appreciation to employees for their outstanding contributions in academics, research, administration, and other areas that have significantly uplifted the institution’s reputation. Notably, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, was honored with the Gold Award along with a cash prize of ₹31,000, Dr. Kulbushan Vashisht received the Silver Award with a cash prize of ₹21,000, and Dr. Puneet was conferred the Bronze Award along with ₹11,000.
The dignitaries applauded the dedication of the teaching and non-teaching staff, acknowledging them as the backbone of DBU’s consistent success.
In his address, Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor of DBU, emphasized the role of teachers in nation-building and their responsibility in shaping young minds for a brighter future. Vice Chancellor, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, lauded the faculty for fostering a learner-centric environment that nurtures innovation, creativity, and academic brilliance.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Puja Gulati, Principal of the Faculty of Pharmacy, who expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty, staff, and students for making the celebration memorable.
