Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda inaugurated the Namo Van, developed under the Miyawaki plantation method, in Sector 2 of Rohtak city on Tuesday to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
He launched the initiative by planting a sapling in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Co-operation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma, Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao, and BJP State President Mohan Lal Badauli.
Around 10,000 saplings are being planted in the Namo Van with the active participation of Rohtak residents. Women, youth, children, and senior citizens turned out in large numbers to join the plantation drive.
Addressing the gathering, Nadda said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been guiding the nation towards a developed India through his vision of healthy living in a clean environment. “It is our collective responsibility to contribute to this vision,” he added.
Highlighting the role of women, the Union Minister urged them to protect the environment with the same dedication they show in managing households.
Thousands of women present assured Nadda and CM Saini of their active participation in the Prime Minister’s Clean and Healthy India campaign.
The Chief Minister and the Union Health Minister praised the enthusiasm of women and children, stating that a balanced environment is key to ensuring a healthy life. The event also saw the gathering extend birthday wishes to Prime Minister Modi.
Former Minister Manish Grover, Rohtak Mayor Ram Avtar Valmiki, Director General of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department K. Makarand Pandurang, Director of Urban Local Bodies Department Pankaj, and other dignitaries also attended the inauguration.
