Ahead of Rahul Gandhi’s proposed visit to flood-hit Punjab, BJP spokesperson Pritpal Singh Baliawal questioned the Congress leader’s intent, alleging that his trip is “politically motivated” rather than driven by genuine concern.
Baliawal pointed out that Rahul Gandhi was abroad in Malaysia during the peak of Punjab’s flood crisis, when thousands were suffering. He asked why Congress-ruled states, despite governing in eight regions across India, have failed to extend significant aid or relief material to Punjab.
The BJP spokesperson further demanded that Punjab Congress President Raja Warring and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann make public details of contributions from Congress-ruled states. “People of Punjab deserve to know who truly stood with them in their hour of need,” Baliawal said.
