Punjab Govt takes key steps to provide transparent and accountable services by recruiting 504 Patwaris: Amritpal Singh

With the aim of providing clean, transparent and accountable services to the people of Punjab, the stats government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has deployed 504 newly recruited Patwaris in the field as regular Patwaris after completing 18 months of mandatory training.

Appreciating this initiative by the Punjab Government to provide employment to the youth, Chairman District Planning Committee Amritpal Singh said that these Patwaris have been appointed with the aim of providing transparent and accountable citizen-centric services to the people. He expressed hope that the recruitment of young candidates will prove to be important for the creation of a corruption-free society in the coming days and with the deployment of these Patwaris with higher educational qualifications, reforms like Easy Deposit, Easy Registry will be implemented more effectively at the grassroots level. Chairman Amritpal Singh said that the state government has given information about land records, surveying, record preparation, elections, marababandi, agriculture and computer subjects to these newly recruited Patwaris during the training. Out of these subjects, special training was given on elections and agriculture. In the election subject, information was mainly given about the preparation of voter lists. In the agriculture subject, complete information was given about rabi and kharif crops, pesticides, fertilizers and crop seeds. ILMS (Integrated Land Management System) software, these candidates have been given practical training on data entry of deposit, recording of mutations, daily diary, Fard Badar etc.

Amritpal Singh said that the Punjab government has fulfilled its election promise by giving government jobs to more than 55000 youth during the last three and a half years. He said that in the coming time the state government will also make government recruitment in other departments.
