In a surprising political development, Anmol Gagan Maan, AAP MLA from Kharar constituency and a minister in the Punjab government, has resigned from both her legislative post and active politics.
Maan, who is also a well-known Punjabi singer, submitted her resignation to the Speaker of the Punjab Legislative Assembly, requesting that it be accepted with immediate effect.
