Bar Association Ropar felicitates district and sessions judge Ramesh Kumari on her retirement

The Bar Association Ropar today organized a special ceremony to bid farewell and extend heartfelt wishes to District and Sessions Judge Smt. Ramesh Kumari on her retirement.
During the event, members of the Bar praised Judge Ramesh Kumari for her integrity, dedication, and remarkable service in the field of justice.
Speaking on the occasion, Judge Ramesh Kumari expressed gratitude for the cooperation extended by the legal fraternity during her tenure.
She appealed to the advocates to play an active role in ensuring the timely completion of court procedures, emphasizing that the efficiency of the judicial process greatly depends on the cooperation between the Bench and the Bar.
“Advocates play a key role in upholding the rule of law and maintaining peace and order in society,” she said. Her remarks were met with applause and appreciation by members of the legal community.
The Bar Association presented a memento to mark the judge’s retirement and lauded her contributions to the district judiciary.
Pointing out the mediation for nation campaign, She said that advocates must encourage general public to take benefit of it.
She further said that National Legal Services Authority in coordination with Mediation & Conciliation Project Committee has launched a special campaign- Mediation “For the Nation” from 1st July to 30th September, 2025. Under this 90 days’ long campaign, the cases pending in the Taluka Courts, District Courts are to be settled through mediation.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Varjeet Walia, SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana, Pushpinder Singh-Additional District and Sessions Judge, Sham Lal-Additional District and Sessions Judge, Mohit Bansal-Additional District and Sessions Judge, Dr.Monika Goyal-Principal Judge, Family Court, Ms.Joshica Sood-Judicial Magistrate -Ist Class, Kamini-Judicial Magistrate – Ist Class, Anannya Rishi-Judicial Magistrate – Ist Class, Manisha-Judicial Magistrate – Ist Class, Sukhwinder Singh-Chief Judicial Magistrate, Advocates Tara singh Chahal, A L Verma, H S Paul, JPS Dher, D S Deol, Charanjit Singh Ghai, Gaganpreet Singh, Manoj Saini, Gurpreet Singh Saini, Shivdeep Kaur Bheora, Vishal Verma, Surajpal singh, Jaspreet Singh Gill, Amarwinder singh Bheora, Sheiker Shukla, Kang President, Yashpal Gangar Kahma Secretary of Bar, Sachin bhanot Vice President, Shahbaz Khan Joint Secretary, Tarun dhaiman Cashier were present.
