Chandigarh, July 3
The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday postponed the hearing of a petition filed by Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia, who has challenged his arrest by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau.
The petition was listed before Justice Tribhuvan Dahiya. However, the matter was adjourned as Majithia’s counsel did not have the remand orders issued by the Mohali court. The court was informed that fresh remand orders are yet to be issued.
The case will now be taken up for hearing on July 4, 2025.
Notably, the Mohali court had sent Majithia to a four-day remand on Tuesday.
