Three Illegally built constructions on panchayat land by drug smugglers demolished

As part of the Punjab Government’s ongoing “War Against Drugs” campaign, the district administration today demolished three illegal constructions built by drug smugglers on Panchayat land in the village of Dogranwal in Kapurthala.

Providing more details, SSP Kapurthala Gaurav Toora stated that on the directions of BDPO Dhilwan, the civil and police administration took action and used a ditch machine to demolish these illegal encroachments made by drug smugglers on Panchayati land in Dogranwal village.

He informed that these three smugglers already had 19 NDPS Act cases registered against them in various police stations, and a large quantity of drugs had also been recovered from them earlier.

Rajwinder Singh alias Raju, resident of Dogranwa,l faced 7 NDPS cases, Sukhjinder Singh alias Kak,a resident of Dogranwal had 4 cases, and Sukhchain Singh alias Dilbar Singh, resident of Dogranwal had three cases against them.

Besides, their family members, Mandeep Singh son of Bua Singh, Dogranwal, has 2 cases, and Bua Singh resident of Dogranwal, has 3 cases under the NDPS.

The SSP emphasized that the district police maintains zero tolerance against drugs and is fully committed to eradicating this menace. He appealed to the public to stop supporting drug smugglers.

He also urged people to cooperate with the civil and police administration in efforts to eliminate drugs from Punjab.

He informed that with the joint efforts of the civil and police administrations, skill training courses have been started at the civil hospital for the rehabilitation of drug-addicted youth.
