The work of this bridge was closed for a long time and the construction has started again at the end of June. MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla told that on one side of this bridge is Ranjit Avenue and on the other side is Loharka, an area with a population of lakhs, where there are about 5 schools. In such a situation, the bridge had to be on pillars, due to which its construction work was stopped, but he thanks Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari who approved the construction of pillars of this bridge and now the work has started again and within about a year this bridge will be dedicated to the people.
MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla, while talking on the issue of dirty drain, said that people have to understand that this is the work of the state government. Their job is to get the budget passed from the center, but how will they get it passed unless the state government or Amritsar administration gives them the project. He said that the government should form a consultation committee for this drain, which includes MPs, ministers, MLAs and administrative officials who review it every month and then prepare an excellent project and present it to the Centre Government. He said that in the meeting of the Disha Committee held every time, dirty drains, Bhagatan wala dump and other problems are discussed in detail and the administration officials are also asked to work properly and do development work. He said that he is committed to every resident of Amritsar and development of Guru Nagri is his priority.
