Rupnagar, June 21: On the occasion of International Yoga Day on June 21, military officers, PI staff, ANO, Caretaker Officers and NCC cadets performed yoga at 23 Punjab Battalion NCC, Rupnagar.
The main objective of this camp was to create awareness about yoga so that people can incorporate yoga regularly in their lives so that they can stay healthy. Yoga is essential to keep the body and mind healthy. During the yoga camp, the cadets performed several yoga asanas collectively. In the yoga practice program, yoga instructors explained the benefits of Surya Namaskar, Anulom Vilom, Kapalbhati, Vajra Asana, Yoga Meditation and Shavasana along with other activities.
Commanding Officer Col Rajeshwar Singh, Administrative Officer Col Rajeshwar Chaudhary, PI staff, ANOs and 650 cadets participated in the yoga exercise organized in the premises of NCC Training School, Rupnagar.
The Commanding Officer informed that apart from Rupnagar, 23 PB BN KS Aurangabad, Chandigarh University Ground, Mata Gujri College Sri Fatehgarh Sahib and SGTB College Sri Anandpur Sahib also performed yoga on International Yoga Day by ANOS and Caretaker Officers and 626 NCC cadets.
