Kapurthala police today solved the bank robbery of rs 38 lakh with the recovery of cash of rs 13.10 lakh and arrest of one accused.
Senior Superientendent of police Gaurav Toora addressing a press conference here this evening disclosed three armed masked robbers had looted a cash of rupees more than 38 lakh from HDFC branch at Rehana Jagran in Phagwara on May 30.
The police party chased the robbers 150 kilometre but in vain .
Police identified the arrested robbers as Gurminder Singh of Kartarpur and recovered one pistol used in crime .
SSP said the remaining two accused have also been identified and arrested within two or three days.
