An undertrial facing more than five criminal cases of lootings fled away after pushing the jail staff at local civil hospital during his medical examination four days ago was today arrested by local police .
His arrest by confirmed by Senior Superientendent of police Gaurav Toora .
Police identified the accused as Gurpreet Sing resident of Kartarpur .
Police said jail staff had brought four inmates of jail for medical examination from where the accused fled with his hand cuffs after pushing the jail staff.
Police said the accused went to a religious place in Himachal Pradesh and when he spent all the money in his pocket he came back to Kapurthala and police arrested him near village Fattundhinga.
Police has registered a case .
