AAP leaders and cabinet ministers, viewing the High Court’s notice to Haryana regarding the additional water issue as a favourable development for Punjab’s rights, welcomed it and expressed their gratitude to the court.
AAP leaders and ministers reacted to the High Court’s decision on their X accounts with the hashtag “Punjab Da Paani Punjab Da Haq” and reiterated the AAP government’s commitment to protecting Punjab’s water and natural resources.
Aam Aadmi Party Punjab President and Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said, “The BJP and BBMB’s high-handedness ends. The High Court has asked BBMB to explain why Haryana needs additional water.”
Arora added, “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, it is not just difficult but impossible to rob Punjab’s rights. Our Chief Minister takes a personal stand to safeguard Punjab’s rights.”
Kuldeep Dhaliwal: “The High Court has heard Punjab’s voice and questioned Haryana and BBMB. The Mann government’s fight for Punjab’s rights will continue. We will not let anyone rob Punjab’s rights at any cost.”
Baljit Kaur: “Truth has prevailed! The loot of Punjab’s rights will no longer be tolerated. The Honorable High Court has granted justice to Punjab on the water issue and has sought clarification from BBMB. The BJP-led central government’s bullying will not work in Punjab.”
Harbhajan Singh ETO: “The Honorable High Court has validated our Chief Minister’s claims regarding Punjab’s water by asking Haryana and BBMB why Haryana needs additional water. This decision is entirely in favour of Punjab. Our fight for Punjab’s rights will continue with the same determination.”
