Mohinder Bhagat directs officers to resolve ex-servicemen’s issues on priority

The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is working swiftly for the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families. In this regard, Defence Services Welfare Minister Mohinder Bhagat held a meeting with officers to review the ongoing work of the department and the progress of welfare schemes for ex-servicemen.

During the meeting, Mohinder Bhagat instructed officers to ensure effective implementation of various welfare schemes aimed at the benefit of ex-servicemen and their families. He emphasized that the issues concerning ex-servicemen and their dependents should be addressed on a priority basis.

The Minister also directed that immediate action be taken to further improve the facilities at Sainik Rest Houses. He assured that there would be no shortage of funds for this purpose. He further emphasized that ex-servicemen and their dependents should be widely informed about the welfare schemes being run by the Punjab Government so they can avail full benefits

Director Defence Services Welfare Department Brig. Bhupinder Singh Dhillon (Retd.) and other senior officers were present in this meeting.
