Ludhiana, May 11

Rajya Sabha MP and AAP candidate from Ludhiana (West), Sanjeev Arora, has announced to take up the issue of ambulance availability with the Deputy Commissioner, emphasising the need to station ambulances at all major public places in the city—including the District Courts Complex and Mini Secretariat.

Speaking at a breakfast meeting hosted by industrialist Neeraj Satija at his residence in Model Town on Sunday, Arora said, “This step will ensure timely availability of ambulance services to patients in need. Ambulance response time must be minimised to ensure prompt medical intervention, as every minute can make the difference between life and death.”

Arora’s response came after Tarunjit Singh Takkar raised a concern regarding a recent incident where a person suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at the court complex around 2 p.m. two days ago. Due to the unavailability of an ambulance, the individual was taken to the hospital after more than an hour—by which time he was declared brought dead.

Addressing other civic issues raised during the meeting, Arora assured that a garbage compactor currently placed in Chatar Singh Park (Model Town) would be relocated within 3–4 days. On civic issues, he promised swift action and reiterated his commitment to public service. “If elected from Ludhiana (West), I will work four times harder,” he stated.

During the gathering, Arora also presented a progress report highlighting key projects completed or nearing completion during his tenure as MP. These included the development of Halwara Airport, renovation and upgradation of ESI and Civil Hospitals, construction of a cycle track, completion of the elevated road, four bridges along the Sidhwan Canal, and the creation of 700 parking slots under the elevated road.

The meeting was addressed by several prominent citizens, including Padma Shri Onkar Singh Pahwa, Amit Thapar, Dr. Shiv Gupta, Hemant Sood, Tarunjit Singh Takkar, Dr. S.K. Kohli, Arun Sharma, S.S. Bhogal, Dr. Baldeep Singh, Amrish Jain, Councillor Gurkirat Tina, Rajan Satija, and Vijay Gandhi.

The speakers unanimously praised Arora’s prompt action on public concerns and his results-driven approach. They noted that Arora’s work goes beyond political boundaries, earning him credibility across the city.

Many shared personal experiences, stating that unlike traditional politicians, Arora does not make hollow promises but delivers concrete outcomes—making him increasingly popular among the people.
