Under the preventive special campaign ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ being run by Punjab Police against drug trafficking and criminal elements, under the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Harvinder Singh Virk and under the leadership of Sarabjit Rai, Superintendent of Police (Investigation), Jalandhar Rural Police conducted an anti-drug operation in various police stations.
Under CASO (Cordon and Search Operation), 18 drug hotspots were identified and special investigation was conducted on them. For the smooth conduct of this operation, 08 Gazetted Officers and 280 Police Officers were deployed.
This operation was carried out with the aim of stopping drug-related activities and strengthening preventive action in drug-affected areas.
This action reflects the Punjab Police’s continued commitment to fighting the menace of drugs and ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens.
