One more body of a teenage boy retrieved from River Beas by village divers on Thursday evening.
The body of deceased identified as vishal deep was found by village divers floating in the river after five days of drowning incident of four boys in the river on day of Baisakhi on April 13.
The police said four teen aged Boys were drowned while taking bath in the river and bodies of two of them were retrieved by the village divers and team of National disaster response force (NDRF) on April 13.
The members of NDRF made frantic efforts to locate remaining two boys continuously for three days but failed to locate the missing boys and team abandoned the rescue operation after a gap of three days . During the rescue operation NDRF team searched around 15 kilometer area said one of NDRF team member .
Meanwhile villagers decided not to cremate the bodies till the recovery of fourth boy drowned in the river said Peerewal village Sarpanch Harjinder Singh.
The villagers expressed their anguish over the role of district administration as none of senior officer so far visited the village to express their sympathies to bereaved family said the villagers . No government grant has so far been announced to the bereaved families by state government.
