Kapurthala police today seized one and half kilo heroin valuing rupees more than 7 crore in international market from three drug smugglers at Dhilwan Hi-Tech Naka.
Talking to media persons here today, Superintendent of police ( Investigation ) Prabhjot Singh Virk disclosed that the arrested smugglers have taken this consignment from Amritsar and were going towards Jalandhar for its delivery in a Alto car.All the accused were intercepted at Dhilwan Hi-Tech Naka by police and on the search of car police recovered 1 . 5 kilo heroin.
SP identified the arrested smugglers as Deep Singh,Baljinder Singh and Sukhwinder Singh all residents of Jalandhar.
Police said accused Baljinder Singh was already facing two criminal cases under NDPS act and was on bail.
Police said arrested drug smugglers were in this business for the past over one month and had already delivered two consignments of drugs .
