Haryana Energy Minister Anil Vij said the bills of electricity consumers of the state will be linked with the Aadhaar card. Along with this, he also directed the officials to correct the wrong bills of consumers within a month.
Vij gave this information in a meeting with the officials of the Energy Department here today.
The Energy Minister directed the officials to set up electricity courts in circle offices every week on Tuesday from 11 am to 1 pm to listen to the problems of consumers in which the issues related to wrong bills, readings, faulty meters etc. will be resolved.
Good facilities should be provided to consumers in electricity offices
Vij directed that good facilities should be provided to consumers in electricity offices. Benches, drinking water and sheds should be arranged in view of the heat.He said people should be made more aware to pay electricity bills. He instructed officials that a cell should be created in the Energy Department to monitor court stay cases.
Electrical equipment should be available in sufficient quantity at sub-division level
He instructed officials that electrical equipment like transformers, wires, conductors, poles etc. should be available in sufficient quantity at all sub-divisions. Along with this, arrangements for vehicles and safety kits of employees should also be available. He said transformers should be repaired in 1 hour in urban areas and in 2 hours in rural areas.
Vij said strict action should be taken against people who do not pay electricity bills and recovery should be done.Along with this, during the summer days, full attention should be paid to power breakdown, fault and transformer service.
Additional Chief Secretary of Energy Department AK Singh, ADGP Amitabh Singh Dhillon, Managing Director of DHBVN A. Sreenivas and Managing Director of UHBVN Ashok Kumar Meena along with other officers were also present on the occasion.
