AAP govt’s education revolution is a hollow promise: Balbir Singh Sidhu

The Fact News Service
Chandigarh, April 12

Former Punjab Health Minister and senior Congress leader Balbir Singh Sidhu said many important things about the Mohali education department. He said, “During the tenure of the Congress party, 6 schools in Mohali were upgraded from elementary to high, primary to middle and high to higher secondary, the notification of which was also passed and the principals were also appointed, but the AAP government canceled that notification and stopped those projects related to the education department.”

Talking about the schools, Sidhu said, “We had upgraded 6 schools, out of which 3 secondary schools in villages Mauli, Saneta and Landran were upgraded to high secondary schools, the elementary school in village Ballomajra was upgraded to high school and the primary school in village Siau and Nagari was upgraded to middle school, but the notification of all these schools was cancelled by the AAP government. Not only these, after this the principals were also removed from the schools.”

Taking a dig at the false policies of the AAP government, Sidhu said, “Before coming to power, the AAP government had made big promises regarding the education and health departments, but nothing happened. The promises made by them were limited to advertisements. Neither did Bhagwant Mann do anything for the health department nor did he bring any kind of revolution in the education department.”

Sidhu further said, “The state of health and education department of Mohali is deteriorating day by day. The youth are neither getting good education nor jobs. The future of our youth is in danger under the rule of AAP government.”

Targeting the empty promises made by AAP government regarding education revolution, Sidhu said, “The AAP government is playing with the future of the children of Punjab. Instead of paying attention to their education, they are busy laying foundation stones for the renovation of toilets and walls and making empty statements.”

Sidhu appealed to the government to get the cancelled notifications of schools re-passed as soon as possible and appoint the required staff so that the children of Mohali can get good education in the coming session and they do not face any problem in getting education.

In order for the students of Mohali to receive a quality education in the upcoming session and to not encounter any difficulties in their educational journey, Sidhu urged the government to expeditiously re-pass the school cancellation notifications and assign the necessary personnel.
