Punjab Govt to revamp focal point Moga

The Punjab Government has decided to give a new direction and momentum to the industrial development of District Moga. In line with this objective, Vaibhav Maheshwari, Member of the Punjab Development Commission, specially visited Moga and held a meeting with local industrialists. Present at the meeting were Deputy Commissioner Sagar Setia, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Charumita, Simarjot Singh (General Manager, District Industries Centre), Amarpreet Singh (Executive Engineer, PSIEC), and prominent industrialists of Focal Point Moga Subhash Grovar, Ajitpal Singh, JPS Khanna, Baldev Singh, among others.

During the meeting, Vaibhav Maheshwari stated that Moga is one of Punjab’s major industrial cities. The Punjab Government is fully committed to further boosting the industrial development of this city. With this growth, there will be an increase in employment opportunities in the state’s interior regions, and small to medium industries will receive a significant push, contributing to the economic upliftment of the state and its people. He further mentioned that Focal Point Moga will soon undergo a complete transformation.

During the meeting, suggestions were taken regarding future planning for the basic infrastructure of Focal Point. Discussions were held on the estimates presented by the Executive Engineer of PSIEC to ensure that no aspect of the infrastructure—such as roads, sewerage, green parks—is overlooked. Additionally, Mr. Maheshwari assured the industrialists that their issues would be resolved promptly. He said that they have not ever seen Government and Administration coming forth to know their problem with an endeavour to resolve them, as being done in district Moga.

On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Sagar Setia stated that increasing investment and industrial expansion in District Moga is a top priority for the district administration. Under the leadership of the Punjab Government and the Punjab Development Commission, the district administration is committed to providing every possible assistance to local industrialists.

The industrialists praised the government’s initiative, stating that this effort will boost investment in the district and lead to further industrial growth.
