The District Administration is all set to launch a free-of-cost theoretical and physical training program to prepare aspirants for recruitment as Agniveers in the Indian Army. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Aparna MB, while chairing a meeting of the Governing Council of the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise (DBEE), stated that this initiative aimed at helping youngsters, particularly from rural areas, succeed in Army recruitment rallies.
The ADC emphasized that the training program would equip youth with the necessary skills to achieve their dream of serving in the Indian Army. She directed officials to prepare a detailed planning to ensure systematic execution of the initiative.
In another review, ADC Aparna MB urged local industries to provide a list of their manpower requirements to facilitate the design of skill development courses tailored to industry needs. She instructed DBEE officials to conduct industry visits to assess workforce demands.
Highlighting the importance of soft skills, the ADC noted that DBEE is offering courses in collaboration with Microsoft, IBM, and NASSCOM, including spoken English and Artificial Intelligence training.
