Gurdaspur, March 6
A horrific accident took place near the village Sekhwan, Batala, when a trolley carrying straw bales collided with two cars, causing them to overturn.
The impact was so severe that both vehicles were completely wrecked. Three people lost their lives on the spot, while six others sustained serious injuries.
Among the deceased, two were brothers. One of the victims, Surjit Singh, a resident of Pid Panj Garia, had just returned home after 17 years and was scheduled to fly back to the United States today.
Authorities are investigating the accident, and the injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
