Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan on Wednesday termed Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta not just a holy scripture but a way of living; by following which one cam attain the companionship of Lord Krishna. The Speaker was participating in the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha here at Sai Dass School Ground by renowned Katha Vachak Jai Kishori Ji, wherein he underscored need for connecting youth with our holy scriptures in present times. He mentioned that Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta is an eternal source of divine teachings as well as epitome of our rich cultural legacy.
The Speaker said that those who heartily follow the teachings of Geeta overcome the miseries of lives as it gives followers the courage and strength to bear any kind of hardship in lives. He lauds the efforts of Jalandhar Central MLA Raman Arora for organizing this mega event on the pious land of Jalandhar by inviting the renowned Katha Vachak Jai Kishori Ji for seven-day long Shrimad Bhagvad Katha event. Mr. Sandhwan said that this event will prove another benchmark in this religiously-active town Jalandhar wherein Katha Vachak like Jai Kishori Ji would throw light on the teachings of Shrimad Bhagwad through a musical performance.
He also called upon devotees to take valuable lessons from the lives as these teachings would keep encouraging all of us to overcome the obstacles in our lives. Earlier, Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha was welcomed by MLA Raman Arora upon his arrival at the venue.
