Maj Gen JS Cheema (ADG) NCC honours cadets who participated in R-Day Parade

To honour the cadets who participated in Republic Day Parade 2025, Major General JS Cheema, Additional Directorate General (ADG) NCC of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh & Chandigarh on Tuesday visited NCC Academy Ropar.

On this occasion, felicitation ceremony was organised by Patiala Group and its prestigious events like Kantavya Path, PM Rally, and Guard of honour and Cultural Program were presented. The event marked the successful culmination of the NCC cadets training and the PHHP & C Directorate’s exceptional performance on the national stage.

Giving further details, Major General JS Cheema, (ADG) NCC said that during Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2025, the PHHP & C Directorate secured top honours, reaffirming its reputation as one of the best performing directorates and got the 2nd position in all India RDC 2025 Camp proving their mettle competing with of other 17 NCC directorates.

He said that the cadets also brought laurels to the directorate by competing with more than 2500 cadets selected from various states of the Country by winning 1st Position in the events of Kartavya Path and Guard of honour.

Interacting with the cadets Brigadier Rahul Gupta Group Commander, Patiala Group praised their discipline, leadership qualities and dedication, emphasizing the role of NCC in nation-building.

Notably, the visit of ADG served as a morale booster, encouraging the cadets to continue striving for excellence and upholding the values of Unity and Discipline. Brigadier Rahul Gupta, Group Commander Patiala was the Chief Training Officer (CTO) of the RDC-2025 term. The event was organised by Col R K Choudhery and his team of 23 PB BN NCC Ropar in a very nice manner.
