Ludhiana Central Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ashok Parashar Pappi and Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal on Tuesday inspected the progress of two upcoming Schools of Eminence (SOE) in Millerganj and Kidwai Nagar. They were accompanied by senior officials from various departments.
During the inspection, the MLA and DC highlighted that these SOEs will feature smart classrooms, modern infrastructure, laboratories, CCTV surveillance, and indoor and outdoor playgrounds equipped for various games. They instructed the executive agencies to enhance the façade of both buildings and to expedite the installation of projectors in the classrooms, window blinds, rooftop solar panels, parking facilities, and to raise the existing boundary walls.
MLA Pappi and DC Jorwal noted that the School of Eminence in Kidwai Nagar is being developed by the Ludhiana Improvement Trust, while the Millerganj SOE is under construction by the Public Works Department. The School of Eminence program aims to revolutionize the education sector, promoting holistic development and a bright future for students.
MLA Pappi and DC Jorwal also emphasized that the Punjab government is prioritizing quality education and services in the sector. They added that the SOE is an ambitious initiative launched by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and urged officials to make earnest efforts to complete the pending work quickly. They conducted a thorough review of the on-going construction and provided necessary directions to ensure timely progress.
DC Jorwal pointed out that construction at both schools is nearly complete, with only final touches are remaining. He urged officials from various departments to expedite the completion of the SOEs.
The inspection also included SDM East Jasleen Kaur Bhullar, Assistant Commissioner Kritika Goyal, School Education department’s Assistant Director Sandeep Verma, DEO Dimple Madaan, and representatives from the Ludhiana Improvement Trust, Municipal Corporation, and Public Works Department.
