Jalandhar: ACA JDA calls upon youngsters to become voters during special revision program

In a bid to make people aware about the importance of right to vote, an awareness campaign held here at KMV college wherein Additional Chief Administrator JDA-Cum-ERO for 36 Jalandhar North Assembly Jasbir Singh called upon youngsters to register themselves as voters during ongoing special voters’ list revision program.

The ACA further added that all eligible applicants completing 18 years on or after April 1, 2023 can fill in form six for new vote as a special summary revision of voters” list is being held across the district.

He said that all BLOs have been directed to remain present at their respective polling stations on November 19, 20, and December 3, 4 so as to assist voters in this task.

He said that for new votes applicants can fill in form 6, for amendment form 7 and for shifting of votes form 8 can be filled in by the applicants. He urged all eligible voters to come forward during the summary revision and become voters as it would further strengthen the ethos of democracy.

The ACA also honored students from the electoral literacy club of KMV College for their contribution in sensitizing people towards their voting rights.

He said that more activities would be held under the SVEEP initiative to spread maximum awareness among masses for voting rights and ethical voting.
