On the occasion of Republic Day, Punjab’s Minister for New and Renewable Energy Sources and Printing & Stationery Aman Arora, will hoist the national flag at the district-level function to be held on January 26 herr at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal today reviewed the ongoing rehearsals for the district-level Republic Day function at the Guru Gobind Singh Stadium. He issued necessary instructions to the participating school students and their teachers.
Dr. Aggarwal informed that during the district-level event, a spectacular march past will be performed by contingents of ITBP, Punjab Police (male and female), Punjab Home Guard, and NCC (boys and girls). This will be followed by tableaux showcasing achievements of various departments.
Students from different schools, including SD Fullarwan School, Police DAV School, DIPS Suranussi, Innocent Hearts School, New Saint Soldier School, Red Cross School for Deaf and Dumb, Manav Sahyog School, and APJ School, will present cultural performances imbued with the spirit of patriotism, along with a PT show.
Dr. Aggarwal added that freedom fighters, eminent personalities from various fields, and outstanding officers/employees from different departments will be honored during the event.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that the civil and police administration is making foolproof arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the district-level program. He emphasized that every effort will be made to celebrate this auspicious day with patriotism and enthusiasm.
