Sukhbir Badal serves punishment at Golden Temple as a guard

Chandigarh, November 3

After the religious punishment pronounced by the former president of Shiromani Akali Dal, Sri Akal Takht Sahib, he reached Sri Harmandir Sahib Amritsar with a plaque around his neck.

This punishment includes instructions to work as an attendant at the Golden Temple and to clean utensils and shoes.

The Akal Takht issued sentences for the Shiromani Akali Dal and its government in Punjab from 2007 to 2017 citing ‘mistakes’.
